Rikke Frost
Rikke Frost is an award-winning Danish designer, known for her ability to combine aesthetics and functionality in long-lasting designs. She graduated as an industrial designer from School of Architecture in Aarhus in 2000, and established her own design studio in 2004.
“My design style is characterised by a strong connection to nature’s forms and materials, with a focus on sustainability and long-lasting solutions. My work balances simplicity and refinement, with each design telling a story of harmony between tradition and modernity.”
The three words ‘Minimal’, ‘Magical’ and ‘Mindful’ are guiding every step of the process in her studio. ‘Minimal’ is focusing on reducing excess while maintaining purpose and aesthetics. ‘Magical’ is about incorporating moments of surprise and delight, such as hidden details and tactility. ‘Mindful’ is a conscious effort to design responsibly and with integrity.
“Each of these words intertwines with the other, shaping how we approach design in a way that’s thoughtful, engaging, and purposeful.”
